Janet Ours has built an impressive career combining her expertise in nursing with her passion for law. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Virginia Wesleyan College and practiced clinical nursing for 25 years in various fields, including emergency and trauma care, cruise ship nursing, and medevac flight nursing. During this time, she also developed new healthcare programs and hospital systems.

Janet earned her Juris Doctorate from the George Mason University School of Law and now practices health law and family law. As a member of The American Academy of Adoption Attorneys, The American Association of Nurse Attorneys, the Prince William Bar Association, and the American Association of Trial Attorneys, she brings her extensive experience to her legal practice.

In 2011, Janet was awarded the Court Appointed Guardian ad Litem of the Year from the Prince William County Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court, and 2019 - 2023, she received the Lawyer of Distinction Award, recognizing excellence in Family and Divorce Law.
